I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations on your active participation in maxSIMhealth’s recent 5-hour workshop on healthcare simulation and additive manufacturing. Your enthusiasm and dedication were evident, and we are proud of everything you have accomplished.

Throughout the workshop, you explored the transformative potential of healthcare simulation in health professions training. I hope you enjoyed this experiential learning opportunity focused on digital design and additive manufacturing to develop custom simulators for the Canadian Conference for the Advancement of Surgical Education (C-CASE), which is offered annually by the Canadian Undergraduate Surgical Education Committee (CUSEC). Although the conference has been running for nearly a decade as a knowledge dissemination platform for medical doctors in training, this is only the second time in history that our lab is supporting a 3-hour simulation training session, enabling these trainees to learn new surgical skills through simulation-based practice. Your work has directly contributed to the resources that will support this training session, and indirectly enhance overall patient safety and the quality of the healthcare system, as better-trained clinicians create a safer and more efficient environment for patients.

I also appreciate the additional hours you dedicated independently to creating even more simulators. Your impressive results reflect your creativity, technical skills, and commitment, providing valuable tools for healthcare education.

I hope the knowledge and experience you gained during these experiences - both in the workshop and through your independent work - will serve you well in your academic and professional journeys. We eagerly anticipate seeing how you will apply these new skills in your future endeavors.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication.

Sincerely,
