All quality events are important, but they are not equally weighed. It is crucial to perform a risk analysis on events. Risk analysis of events allows companies to focus resources on events with a higher risk. It can also lead to breakthrough improvements, where the Corrective Action addresses the event under investigation, but also addresses other (and potentially larger) system issues.
