Upstream Petroleum Engineering & CPF Pre-Commissioning Operations is an 8-week (360+ hour) industrial training attachment conducted with Sinopec International Petroleum Service Corporation (Uganda) Limited on the Tilenga Project (Buliisa District) for Kampala International University (KIU). Attached to the Pre-Commissioning and Construction Teams, the program focuses on Central Processing Facility (CPF) operations, pipeline network testing, Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI), and systems completions management. Topics covered include boroscope inspection of underground/process piping; hydrostatic, gravity, and leak testing; piping system cleaning and flushing; P&ID and isometric drawing review; pipework test pack preparation and ICAPS database management; RFI/RFPI workflows; and H3SE compliance including Confined Space Entry, Working at Height, and LOTO isolations.

Participation

Complete 8 weeks (360+ hours) of industrial training in CPF pre-commissioning and petroleum engineering operations with Sinopec on the Tilenga Project.

Assignment

Execute boroscope NDT inspections, monitor hydrostatic and gravity pressure tests, prepare pipework test packs, and log completion records into the ICAPS database.

Test

Pass site HSE safety inductions for Confined Space Entry, Working at Height, and Commissioning Area safety protocols, earning verified site compliance credentials.
