Oilfield Industrial IT Infrastructure & Cybersecurity is an 8-week (360+ hour) industrial training attachment conducted with Sinopec International Petroleum Services Corporation on the Tilenga Project (Buliisa District) for Uganda Petroleum Institute Kigumba (UPIK). The program focuses on oilfield telecommunications, enterprise network administration, hardware configuration, operating system deployment, and industrial cybersecurity. Topics covered include network topology design, access point and router configurations, Ethernet cable termination (T568B standard), MAC address filtering, clean Windows 11 OS deployment, phishing email defense, and H3SE/JHEA site safety compliance.

Participation

Complete 8 weeks (360+ hours) of industrial attachment in the IT and Network Infrastructure section at Sinopec's Tilenga Project.

Assignment

Configure enterprise routers and wireless access points, terminate T568B RJ45 Ethernet cables, and execute clean Windows 11 OS installations.

Test

Pass site H3SE and JHEA safety assessments with a score of 80% or higher and demonstrate proficiency in MAC address filtering and anti-phishing security protocols.
