Heavy Oilfield Civil/Structural QA/QC & Infrastructure Inspection is an 8-week industrial field attachment and practical quality assurance program conducted with Sinopec International Petroleum Services Co. Ltd on the Tilenga EPSCC Project in the Buliisa and Nwoya districts. Executed on behalf of client TotalEnergies EP Uganda, the program focuses on structural engineering quality control across active well pads, drilling foundations, heavy access roads, and drainage corridors. Topics covered include Quality Assurance document control and Request for Inspection (RFI) lifecycle management; fresh concrete testing (slump test, temperature check, and compression cube casting); geotechnical earthwork quality control via Sand-Cone Field Density Tests (FDT); pre-pour structural reinforcement and formwork inspections against Bar Bending Schedules (BBS); and compliance auditing under BS EN 1992 (Eurocode 2) and BS EN 1997 (Eurocode 7) standards.

Participation

Complete an 8-week industrial attachment as a Civil/Structural QA/QC Inspector Intern with Sinopec on the Tilenga EPSCC Project in Buliisa/Nwoya District.

Assignment

Execute joint field walkdowns and manage RFI lifecycles for concrete foundation pours, rebar reinforcement cages, and road subgrade compaction.

Assignment

Conduct fresh concrete slump tests, cast standard compression test cubes, verify 95%+ soil compaction via Sand-Cone tests, and validate rebar spacing against engineering blueprints.
