5 Credentials
This course provides new brigade members, as well as existing emergency response personnel with a solid foundation of knowledge and skills that may be used to safely resolve emergencies involving exterior fire at an industrial facility. All of this is accomplished through a combination of classroom presentations and field exercises.
This course is designed to meet the objectives outlined in the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1081 Standard for Industrial Fire Brigade Member Professional Qualifications Chapters 5 “Incipient” and 6 “Exterior”.

This course CERTIFIES individuals as proficient in interior structural firefighting, meeting all Job Performance Requirements (JPRs) outlined in NFPA 1081 Interior and compliant with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.156. Through immersive, hands-on training, participants develop the tactical skills, safety awareness, and operational confidence required to perform effectively in high-risk industrial fire environments.
