THIS TRAINING APPLIES TO CALIFORNIA ONLY. Required annually for employees with responsibilities related to the generation, management, or response to releasing hazardous waste. (22 CCR 66262.34(a)(4), 66265.16) Training covers the following topics: Federal and California-specific hazardous waste requirements, and general information on pertinent regulations; Definitions of hazardous and universal waste in the State of California; Labeling, segregation, and container management for hazardous and universal waste; Storage limits for hazardous waste; Response to hazardous and universal waste releases, including contacting outside emergency agencies. This training also provides general awareness regarding medical waste regulated under the CA Health and Safety Code.
