Description

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
The Teaching and Research Pathway provides a framework for educators to improve their teaching techniques, and contribute to improving curriculum and pedagogy throughout the school through the use of research informed strategies. The ultimate goal of this work is to improve teaching, learning and the whole-school experience at St. Andrew's for every student. We imagine the journey of a teacher on this pathway as one in which they develop their personal expertise, and then share that knowledge to the benefit of others in their department, division and beyond.

REQUIREMENTS:
Participants who have finished Level 2 of the Teaching and Research Pathway have completed the following requirements:

  • Joined the Teaching and Research seminar
  • Attended the CTTL Science of Teaching and School Leadership Academy

  • Participated in three (3) teaching walkthroughs
  • Contributed to the creation of a resource
  • Investigated an issue using MBE Cycles
  • Chose a Level 2 pathway adventure

The CTTL is the leading pre-collegiate, school-based research center in the United States that designs and delivers professional learning programming centered in Mind, Brain, and Education (MBE) science to partner schools around the world.
