This course will cover how to identify rotation or “out of building sites”, writing agreements for aligning stakeholders, overcoming barriers, and sharing the many benefits of community clinical education. The course will also touch on CODA as an incentive for implementing community clinical education experiences for your dental hygiene students.

Objectives:

• Identify “out of the building sites”
• Explain some of the common definitions of community clinical education.
• Describe the barriers to creating and maintaining community clinical education experiences
• Describe benefits of community clinical education experiences
