Description
Employment is a central component of recovery and is consistently identified by individuals receiving Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) services as a meaningful personal goal. Yet individuals with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI), particularly those with co-occurring substance use disorders, remain disproportionately affected by unemployment and underemployment. This training equips participants with foundational competencies for delivering highly individualized vocational services within behavioral health settings. Emphasis is placed on understanding personal preferences—including disclosure considerations—as essential to tailoring job and education search activities, job development, and ongoing follow‑along supports.
