AP Leadership Academy (APLA) is our 8-month cohort designed to develop DCPS Assistant Principals who are in their third year and beyond. By focusing on adaptive, equity-centered, and emotionally intelligent leadership skills, the program retains and strengthens current Assistant Principals while building a robust pipeline of BIPOC leaders for future opportunities. Activities include: -Seven Full Day Sessions -Two Half-Day Sessions -Seven virtual “Learning Teams” Collaboratives -Five assignments connected to people leadership & antiracism -Yearlong Leadership Vision assignment to create results for students.
