Recipients must complete the earning criteria to earn this badge. To obtain Advanced RPL Assessor Certification, learners must demonstrate their knowledge and skill to develop candidate-centred RPL tools and supporting requisite materials. Badge recipients will have successfully completed the set assessment as judged by an experienced CatoHR assessor who has demonstrated mastery in Advanced RPL Assessor practice.

Earning criteria includes: • Clustering two or more units of competency for a qualification AQF level 3 or above • Designing a candidate-centred pre-enrolment guide inclusive of six pieces of information stipulated as the minimum required for a quality guide • Designing an assessor pre-enrolment guide inclusive of instructions on five key points stipulated as the minimum required for a quality guide • Designing a cluster guide each for candidates and assessor use

• Producing accurate pre-mapping matrices to identify instruments to be used and how listed compliance requirements will be met • Producing accurate assessment mapping matrices for each unit of competency in the cluster • Developing candidate-centred assessment instructions for the clustered tool • Developing reliable, relevant assessor instructions including benchmarks

The certification course is self-paced where learners can undertake a learning and assessment, or assessment-only pathway for recognition. In the learning and assessment option, learners access scaffolded, interactive material & formative activities, and engage with the instructor via scheduled mentoring sessions. The assessment-only option allows learners to submit their response to the set assessment and on successful completion, be recognised for existing skill as an Advanced RPL Assessor.
