This qualification recognises individuals trained to work as Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs) within the UK housing sector.
Holders of this certificate have developed the knowledge and practical skills required to assess the energy performance of domestic/ residential properties. During the course, learners completed both theoretical and practical training, including understanding building construction, heating systems, insulation measures, and data collection methodologies. They will have carried out domestic property assessments, produced Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), and demonstrated competence in using approved software and industry-standard procedures.
Upon successful completion, qualified individuals are able to carry out energy assessments on existing domestic properties and produce compliant EPCs in line with UK regulations. They are equipped to support homeowners, landlords, and organisations in understanding energy efficiency and identifying opportunities for improvement.
