Description

The **TEX-E Bootcamp** is an intensive, three-day energy entrepreneurship program that brings together student innovators from leading universities to explore how breakthrough energy technologies become companies. Hosted at Greentown Labs in Houston, the 2026 Bootcamp was taught by MIT professors **Bill Aulet** and **Ben Soltoff**, using *Disciplined Entrepreneurship: 24 Steps to a Successful Startup* and *Disciplined Entrepreneurship for Climate and Energy Ventures* (DE4CEV) as its foundation. Participants learned to identify real problems in climate and energy, select markets, understand their customers, build a value proposition, and plan a pathway to scale. Working in teams, participants applied these skills to energy venture ideas, received guidance from industry mentors, and presented their final pitches to a panel of judges. Earners of this badge join the growing **TEX-E** community of energy entrepreneurs.
