The holder of this badge completed a day-long training workshop designed for graduate and postdoctoral trainees in health sciences at the University of Pittsburgh to accelerate and enhance their essential professional written, oral, and visual communication skills. They attended sessions about networking, negotiation, scientific writing, poster presentations and design, and mentoring. They created a long-term career development plan that incorporates how they will continue to enhance their professional communication skills during their training at the University of Pittsburgh and in future careers. This training was designed by the University of Pittsburgh's Office of Academic Career Development, Health Sciences, which serves trainees and faculty in the health sciences, and sessions were delivered by subject matter experts from the university community.
