The Researcher-to-Founder Journey is a full-day intensive International Development Programme conducted. Led by Russell Merz (Commercialisation, Ventures & Technology, EnviroMETS Queensland) and Dr. Manish Malhotra (Founder, Futred Innovation Studios & ATMC), this workshop equips researchers, faculty, and innovation teams with global best practices for translating research into real-world commercial outcomes. Inspired by leading ecosystems including Oxford, Stanford, Cambridge, and MIT, participants explore research translation frameworks, commercialisation pathways, licensing and spin-out strategies, founder mindset transformation, and founder readiness assessment. Aligned with the Viksit Bharat Bill, the programme bridges the gap between academic excellence and measurable industry impact, drawing on 100+ years of collective expertise from 5 countries.
