The participant has attended the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt training course at the M+M Lean Six Sigma Academy and successfully passed the training exam. The training course builds directly on the knowledge and expertise of a previously completed (Lean) Six Sigma Green Belt training course. The Black Belt training deepens the methodological competence in the DMAIC process with extended statistical analyses, test planning and lean management techniques. In addition, tools from Design for Six Sigma (DMADV) and Quality Function Deployment (QFD) are taught for the development of new products and processes. A special focus is placed on the strategic integration of Lean Six Sigma and the further development of leadership competences and soft skills. Participants learn to determine customer requirements through market research, to apply important analysis methods such as regression analyses, hypothesis tests and multivariate procedures and to make targeted use of statistical design of experiments (DoE). Advanced lean tools such as shop floor management, value stream design and Kanban are also covered, supplemented by process controlling and overall plant efficiency. In addition to methodological expertise, particular attention is paid to team leadership, conflict management and change management in order to promote a sustainable zero-defect culture. Finally, Lean Six Sigma and QM systems are strategically linked, including balanced scorecard and multi-project management. The training content fulfils the requirements of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), the guidelines of the ESSC-D and the specifications of 13053-2011. The title ‘Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt’ can be awarded by the M+M Lean Six Sigma Academie on the basis of a successfully completed Lean Six Sigma Black Belt project.
