Supporting Reproductive Choice: While Working Within Your Values is a full-day interactive training program delivered by Children by Choice for Queensland Hospital and Health Services staff. Designed for healthcare professionals and community workers across all disciplines, this training builds the knowledge, skills, and self-awareness needed to support pregnant people to make informed, autonomous decisions, whatever their circumstances. Participants leave better equipped to navigate complex conversations with confidence, compassion, and clinical accuracy. The day covers all pregnancy options (parenting, adoption and alternative care, and abortion), the realities of reproductive coercion and abuse, abortion stigma and how it shows up in healthcare settings and conscientious objection obligations and practice. Throughout the day, values clarification activities, case studies, and reflective practice help participants explore their own assumptions and develop the practical skills to set them aside in service of their clients and patients. This training is non-directive in approach and inclusive in design. It is for every practitioner, regardless of personal values or prior knowledge of reproductive health.
