The comprehensive Board Prep program from Young Involved Philadelphia is facilitated by Philadelphia-based experts who are well-versed in nonprofit board governance. During this intensive training program, Young Involved Philadelphia introduces the key components of thoughtful, engaged, and dedicated board service. Board Prep students also hear from currently serving board members during their time in the Board Prep program. At the end of the program, we provide an opportunity for participants to connect with Greater Philadelphia area non-profit organizations seeking board members, committee members, and volunteers. Young professionals seeking to learn more about non-profit board governance, join a non-profit board, or who already serve on a nonprofit board are all welcome to participate. Graduates of YIP’s Board Prep Program join a vibrant, diverse, and deeply engaged community of alums working hard to make Philadelphia the best city in the world.
