Introduction to Safeguarding

For CPD purposes, this safeguarding course is a half-day (3.5-hour) course, involving live participation. This introductory course considers the definitions of ‘children’ and ‘adults at risk’, typical scenarios in the HE context, the legal/regulatory framework, recognising abuse and neglect, responding to a safeguarding disclosure (for example, from a student), and how to report concerns.
