Description

World Ocean Day's collaborative online Youth Leadership Training Program builds upon and refines the existing leadership and advocacy skills of attendees, integrates civic learning, and encourages strengthened collaborative action – locally, nationally, and globally. Participants overwhelmingly respond that the sessions have a significant impact with an increased understanding of the issues and greater confidence to be strong leaders for positive change. Mobilizing the collective power of youth is essential in the fight for a sustainable future. We equip young advocates with a better understanding of the ocean-climate connections and the intersectional issues, practical organizing skills, and help them increase their confidence to act individually and together. In short, we empower youth to become effective champions for change in their communities and beyond. Whether it’s organizing a World Ocean Day event, advocating for policy change, or raising awareness, every action contributes to a healthier planet. Together, we can create a ripple effect that grows into a powerful wave of change for generations to come. The recipient of this certificate successfully finished an intensive 4-week training for ocean conservation, youth advocacy and leadership through the World Ocean Day Youth Leadership Training Program.
