Description

Course Summary: This program is designed to empower firefighters of all experience levels with the mental fortitude and practical skills required to excel in high-pressure fireground operations. Blending human performance, sports psychology, and performance psychology with reality-based training, this course shifts the traditional focus from purely operational to developing the psychological framework that underpins flawless execution. It utilizes a reality-based training style to instill confidence when operating as a 1st or 2nd due company. Our goal is to build efficient systems regardless of the attendees' experience level or department size. Instructors will coach attendees, guiding them to create repeatable systems for "The Big Four" critical tasks: the first 5 minutes, stretching, searching, and ground ladders. Attendees will develop a robust "playbook" of proven systems, armed with "audibles" and "If, Then" statements to adapt seamlessly to dynamic fireground conditions. The training environment will be strategically manipulated with emotional components to challenge the firefighter's tempo, ensuring readiness for the intense demands of realistic, fast-paced scenarios.
