Description
During the training, participants gained foundational and practical knowledge of IBM High Level Assembler programming, with a focus on memory organization, register logic, addressing, data formats, program structure, and z/OS program execution.
Special emphasis was placed on reading, understanding, and analyzing existing HLASM programs, as well as troubleshooting, dump interpretation, save area concepts, linkage conventions, and parameter passing.
In addition, key aspects of assembler programming in CICS and IMS environments were covered, including clean interfaces, controlled program execution, and practical do’s and don’ts for productive mainframe operations.
