Description
This 8-hour course prepares personnel who work in and around LNG operations to understand liquefied natural gas - what it is, how it behaves, the hazards it presents, and how those hazards are controlled. Through classroom instruction and live-fire demonstration, participants learn LNG characteristics and behavior, including its cryogenic nature, flammability, vapor behavior, spills on land and water, vapor-cloud control techniques, and the use of foam and dry chemical agents for vapor control and fire suppression. Training is conducted in accordance with PHMSA 49 CFR Part 193 (Subpart H), NFPA 59A, and requirements applicable to LNG waterfront facilities regulated under U.S. Coast Guard 33 CFR Part 127.
