This badge recognizes a select cohort of high-achieving graduate students personally designated by the Dean of the Graduate School of Management at Crandall University as Dean’s Leadership Action Ambassadors (LAA). Ambassadors are distinguished by their outstanding academic performance, professional experience, and proven capacity to turn ideas into action in service of the Crandall community and beyond.

Dean’s Leadership Action Ambassadors:

Are invited from among the top 20% of their cohort by CGPA and uphold the highest standards of academic excellence, integrity, and service.
Demonstrate an action-oriented mindset, treating problems as opportunities and helping to design and deliver visible, real-world projects, programs, and community partnerships under the Dean’s mentorship.
Commit a significant number of volunteer hours weekly to portfolio work, events, and monthly cohort meetings, modelling professional leadership for their peers.

To receive this badge, earners must:

Be full-time graduate students with a minimum of 6 graduate credits completed.
Rank among the top 20% of students by CGPA within their program cohort.
Hold no record of academic misconduct.
Receive an invitation for the Expression of Interest from the Dean.
Respond to the invitation by submitting a letter of interest and résumé to the Dean, demonstrating how their scholarship and prior experience will translate into concrete community impact.
Successfully complete a selective review process, which may include an interview as well as an activities-based selection component; expression of interest does not guarantee Ambassador designation.
Graduates may continue to serve as Ambassadors for up to one year post-graduation, helping to bridge current students and alumni, mentor the next cohort, and extend the LAA’s impact.
Ambassadors who assume expanded responsibilities—such as serving in the leadership roles, leading or co-leading a project stream, meeting enhanced milestones, and completing additional training—may become eligible for an advanced and/or additional recognition through digital credentials, signifying a deeper level of leadership and a publicly showcased deliverable at year’s end.
