Nourishing Tomorrow: A World Food Day Workshop on Food Security, Nutrition and Sustainable Agriculture Food security, nutrition and sustainable agriculture are essential for human well-being and a sustainable future. Addressing challenges such as climate variability, food loss and waste, unequal access to nutritious food and soil degradation requires scientific knowledge, practical innovation and collaborative action. The Department of Agriculture, 360 Research Foundation (360RF), organised this five-day national-level hybrid workshop from 14–18 October 2026, in observance of World Food Day 2026. The workshop brought together students, research scholars, PhD scholars, scientists, professors, educators and other stakeholders from across India to exchange knowledge and explore practical, locally relevant solutions. With a focus on West Champaran and the wider Bihar region, the workshop aimed to promote awareness of food security, nutrition, climate-resilient agriculture and sustainable agrifood systems, encouraging collective action towards a healthier and more food-secure future. The event was listed in the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) World Food Day 2026 Events List.
