Description

The course address the urgent need for cohesive digital preservation and promotion of cultural heritage during times of crisis. The students were introduced to the knowledge and skills required for digital heritage preservation, encompassing the latest advancements in mobile and graphics technology, digital heritage documentation and preservation, virtual museums and databases, virtual reality, and mobile computing based on inclusive, open-source software. Open-source software and knowledge exchange form a great starting point for reconsidering digital ‘on a budget’ strategy, which allows for improving engagement and outreach in the times of crisis as well as enable participants to ensure readiness to respond in the event of crisis or emergency.
