Description
This Public Speaking course guides participants through process and performance tools for delivering a presentation or speech that is organized, clear, and compelling. The course focuses on identifying the target audience, structuring a few key messages clarifying the compelling “why” of the presentation, organizing the narrative, and designing a clear and supportive PowerPoint presentation. The course provides tools for delivering presentations that resonate with your audience, as well as techniques to manage nerves, utilize your voice effectively, employ rhetorical tools, manage body language, gestures, and eye contact in accordance with your most natural and effective communication style.
The training begins with a 45–60-minute instructional period. Following these instructions, the participant receives hands-on experience in identifying their message, organizing their presentation, and refining their slide deck.
Participants then deliver their presentation or a portion of the presentation. The performance is recorded to ensure one-on-one coaching that addresses their unique style, emphasizing the power of storytelling and performance. Every presentation, whether intentional or not, is a performance. This coaching identifies opportunities for improvement and explores strategies to enhance delivery. Personalized guidance is provided on voice, tone, body language, and gestures—ensuring that both what the audience sees and hears are effective and engaging.
Presentation Skills Coaching participants typically demonstrate immediate and measurable improvement, as well as increased confidence.
The course discusses and demonstrates how participants can use their voice, body language, eye contact, and appearance to enhance the message they convey.
Participants gain an understanding of how to organize and deliver a presentation, the traits that constitute Executive Presence, and the appreciation for tools they can use to enhance their own sense of Executive Presence.
