About the program - The Waves of Leadership The Waves of Leadership is an internal skill development program focused on enhancing leadership skills and providing tools for immediate implementation in the day-to-day job. The program consists of interactive workshops during which participants will challenge their thinking, self-reflect, and put the learnt concepts into practice. The focus of the program is to support participants with the implementation of the key takeaways into their day-to-day work. Each workshop included: - Pre & post workshop skills self-evaluation to benchmark the progress and shine the light on areas that might require improvement. - One-on-one accountability meeting with the facilitator to review the action plan created during the workshop, chat about the progress with implementation of the learnt strategies and discuss what additional support is needed moving forward. About the workshop - Navigating the currents: Bridging the gap: Creating connections through conversations Much of our work is accomplished through daily conversations. These interactions, especially the tough ones, often involve intensely personal feelings (on both sides) that have an impact on the outcome. In this course participants learnt how to recognize these feelings in others and balance ‘heart’ and ‘head’ in every interaction. This workshop is based on the “Communication - Connect Through Conversations” course by DDI. Workshop objectives - Communicate with influence to achieve the intended business goals. - Tailor communication to meet unique needs of others. - Recognize and acknowledge emotions of others. - Facilitate productive meetings that move the projects forward. - Use positive reinforcement and provide constructive feedback effectively.
