Description

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:

Identify the scope and intent of the IIA's three current Topical Requirements (Cybersecurity, Third-Party Risk, and Organizational Behavior) and how they integrate with the Global Internal Audit Standards.

Evaluate their own audit function's current state of readiness against the Topical Requirements using practical gap assessment approaches, including the use of AI-assisted mapping tools.

Determine how to embed Topical Requirement conformance into existing audit methodologies, engagement planning, and workpaper documentation rather than treating them as standalone compliance exercises.

Assess the skills and resourcing strategies needed to deliver assurance across all three Topical Requirements, including co-sourcing, internal training, and cross-functional collaboration with IT security, procurement, HR, and compliance.

Prepare for External Quality Assessments that now evaluate conformance with the Topical Requirements, and plan for upcoming requirements including Organizational Resilience and Anti-Corruption and Bribery.
