As we continue to debate how to respond to artificial intelligence, students are already employing it in creative ways. This session illuminates the underexplored perspectives of L2 students and how they make sense of AI to support their writing. Drawing on student interviews, we look at the different ways they engage with AI, reflect on implications, and consider the wider impact on academic integrity, L2 pedagogy, and assessment.
