On September 9th, 2025, students and alumni from Brisbane came together with leading Queensland employers at the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand offices for a full-day Innovation Challenge. Participants worked in cross-disciplinary teams to solve real-world business challenges set by organisations including Engineers Australia, CPA Australia, Unison Solar Energy, Dunk Marketing Agency, BDO, and the Department of Justice, with a final “mystery employer” revealed on the day. During the event, participants: • Built professional networks by engaging directly with employers, mentors, and peers. • Enhanced employability skills such as problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and innovation. • Gained practical experience developing and pitching creative solutions to industry challenges. • Showcased their ideas to a judging panel of senior industry leaders. This immersive experience boosted career readiness and CV impact, preparing students for future opportunities in Queensland’s workforce. Graduates of this program earned a Certificate of Completion, recognising their achievement in innovation, collaboration, and employability development.
