Description

This badge recognizes successful completion of UniFirst's Transition to Leadership Program, a 14-week virtual leadership development experience designed for recently promoted first-time leaders across all areas of the business. Participants built the foundational leadership skills necessary to make a successful and lasting transition from individual contributor to leader. The program is structured across three leadership domains: Lead Yourself, Lead Others, and Lead Across the Organization. It is grounded in UniFirst's six Leadership Principles: Integrity, Support for Others, A Service Culture, The Drive to Achieve, Strategic Agility, and An Enterprise Mindset. Graduates leave equipped with practical, immediately applicable tools to support their teams, strengthen communication, navigate conflict, build inclusive team cultures, and lead with confidence and authenticity. Participants built the skills, mindset, and confidence required to lead effectively at UniFirst. Through facilitated sessions, reflection, and applied practice, earners strengthened their ability to transition from individual contributor to leader, support and develop Team Partners, and lead in alignment with UniFirst’s leadership principles. Topics included transitioning to leadership, emotional intelligence, authentic leadership, productivity, delegation, one-on-ones, feedback, managing conflict, employee relations, team culture, leading across the organization, and individual development planning.
