Advocacy & Activism Workshop: This workshop helps participants understand the difference between activism and advocacy and how both power social change. It equips participants with a practical tool (Advocacy Mapping Guide) to define their issue area and strategy. Through this, we strengthen participants’ sense of connection to peer organizations through shared stories and collaborative work.

Participation

Mobilization & Basebuilding Workshop: Participants learn to engage, recruit, and sustain members in their organization. The workshop focuses on building strong, resilient communities that can take collective action for lasting impact and weather the natural turnover in the student organizing space.

Participation

Goal Setting Workshop: This workshop helps participants develop clear and realistic goals for their programs/campaigns. Through tools such as SMART goal setting and their previously completed advocacy toolkit, participants reflect on their organization’s vision, identify priorities, and build actionable timelines for achieving meaningful change.

Participation

Organizational Structures/Management Workshop: In this workshop, participants learn about incorporation, governance, and organizational decision-making, including the role of boards and the difference between advisory and governing boards. The workshop also introduces foundational concepts around staffing, management, and payroll.

Participation

Fundraising Workshop: This workshop helps participants to build the skills and confidence needed to sustainably fund their organizations. Participants explore different fundraising strategies including grants, individual donations, partnerships, and events while learning how to align fundraising with their organization’s mission, values, and long-term goals.

Participation

Communication Workshop: This workshop equips participants with the skills and strategies needed to amplify the voice of their organization, grow their reach, communicate effectively, and build lasting partnerships. Participants learn how to craft clear messaging, engage media, leverage social platforms strategically, and develop outreach practices that turn attention into action and supporters into long-term allies.
