The HKUST Global Orientation Leader (2026/27) badge is issued to HKUST undergraduate students who took on this student leadership role under the HKUST Office of Global Learning Experience in the 2026/27 Academic Year. The badge celebrates these students who went above and beyond to build a welcoming, inclusive global community at HKUST by supporting the University’s Global Freshmen Welcome Week. As the first point of contact for international freshmen arriving in Fall 2026, these students championed peer mentorship and cultural exchange. From managing the welcome booths and leading campus tours to organizing lively social events, these leaders dedicated their energy during the crucial first week to help international freshmen from around the world feel supported, connected, and at home in Hong Kong.
